For those unfamiliar with the term Giclee (pronounced jee-clay), the process involves spraying inks directly onto the chosen surface, and using six colours rather than the traditional four of the printers plate. The result is a far superior reproduction, glorious in its fidelity and, when printed on canvas, stretched and framed, virtually indistinguishable from the original. To me it is the most exciting thing to happen in fine art reproduction in a long time. I am very excited about it – and I think you will be too. |
